GET OUT THE VOTE!
It’s that time again. The leaves are changing; the days are cooler and the nights getting longer. Along with the changes in the weather, this fall we have the opportunity to vote in our municipal elections. This opportunity brings with it a great responsibility. As citizens of Eagle Mountain we will shape the direction of our city for years to come based on how we vote this November. It is more critical than ever that we choose capable individuals to lead our city as we continue to grow and mature.
In recent years the relationship between the Homeowners Association and the city has not been strong. There are many reasons for this, however the result has been that progress has not been made on issues that require the city and the HOA to work together. Many problems that our community faces could be solved, but necessitate greater coordination with the city. Both organizations may not always agree on every issue; however, we must have a collaborative open relationship for either to achieve its goals.
Over the past few months many of the candidates have come to the HOA board meetings to introduce themselves, learn about the issues that impact the HOA, and to answer questions from the Board of Trustees and homeowners. This has been very positive and beneficial. We as a Board believe that it is vital that our next Mayor and Council be open and receptive to working with the HOA rather than antagonistic towards it.
After much discussion and deliberation, the Board is happy to fully endorse the following candidates as they have shown a commitment and support of the HOA and an improved relationship with the City of Eagle Mountain:
Heather Jackson
Eric Cieslak
Ryan Ireland
Donna Burnham
Please visit the following websites for information on these candidates;

Ryan Ireland; rireland@emcity.net
Donna Burnham; dburnham@gmail.com
With this endorsement the Board encourages your support for these candidates. Other areas of the city have traditionally been much more politically active than the
Ranches. This is mainly because of discontentment in those areas driving out the vote. If we as a community want our interests addressed in City Hall we must participate and vote. We as a community represent over half of the population of Eagle Mountain. Let’s ensure that this election the Ranches community has its voice
heard.
